Court Support – Juvenile Court

IMPORTANT: We need Court Watch support requests at least a week in advance. We will attempt to mobilize volunteers for your case, but we cannot guarantee availability.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Court watchers are generally observing Section 676 hearings in Pomona Courthouse in the Los Angeles Superior Court, unless provided permission from parents/guardians to observe non-676 proceedings. If you’d like to request Court Watchers at your upcoming court date, please fill out the form below completely, and one of our team members will get back to you quickly.

Is the case brought pursuant to WIC Code Section 676?
(California Welfare & Institutions Code § 676 establishes that juvenile court hearings are generally closed to the public, unless the minor and their parent or guardian request otherwise, or unless a judge determines that someone has a direct and legitimate interest in the case. However, hearings involving any of more than two dozen specified serious offenses where criminal hearings involve youth are open to the public).
If you are the youth or the youth’s parent or guardian, do you request a Court Watcher at a non-Section 676 hearing?
